1235 S Prairie is one of my favorite Chicago Museum Park condo buildings in the South Loop. It is not the tallest (standing at 36 floors) or the most shiny but has so much to offer. Just a half block south of Roosevelt road at Grant Park, two blocks west of Michigan Avenue and 2 blocks west of the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Soldiers Field, Burnham Harbor, Northerly Island, Adler Planetarium and Lake Michigan shore. Bike paths and walking paths along the parks and lake are a few minutes away. Restaurants for everyone’s taste or try something different every day, there is plenty to choose from. Music in the Park, Marathon’s, concerts, Summer Dance, Soldier Field events, Skateboard park and on and on…there is an endless list of events for the area within walking distance daily.
It has a contemporary and elegant feel throughout and the units have awesome views of the lake, Museum Park, Navy Pier,Grant Park and the skyline all depending on the floor and orientation of the unit.
There is Little Branch Cafe, a cleaners, workout room, recreation/entertainment room and gorgeous pool in and on the building property. 1235 Prairie also allows a small percentage of rentals in the building for condo owners that have the desire to do so. The doormen are always professional and friendly.
Most of the units I have seen have upgraded the features in the unit or purchased the upgrades with the unit. There are hardwood and stone floors, granite and stone counters, many upgraded and custom cabinets and views to die for. There are one, two and three bedroom units, most with balconies to enjoy the South Loop views. The developer started selling the condos in 1235 S Prairie in 2006 and have been sold out for quite awhile.
If you are thinking of moving to the South Loop or need to move from here, contact me and I would be happy to help you!
