Chicago Public Art throughout the city

Everywhere you look in Chicago especially in the Loop area there is beautiful and interesting art work.  Outside along the Lake Michigan lakefront, in parks like Millenium Park, Grant Park and so many more, along streets, buildings inside Libraries, Police stations and other buildings throughout our beautiful city.  Many building, bridges and structures are also a work of art or have works of art incorporated within their structures.

I enjoy art and can’t see and enjoy enough of it.  I have many pictures I have taken and after finding this great guide by The City of Chicago called The City of Chicago Public Art Guide. I am on a journey to see as much of it I can.  It is crazy that I have been only a few hundred feet from so man of these without knowing it.  I also have found a lot that is not here.  So art lovers…if you don’t live here, come visit us and enjoy just another great thing about our city.

Here are a few of my photos of Art in and around The Chicago Loop, The Chicago South Loop, Grant Park and more.

Thinking about moving to this great city?  Contact me and I can help you find a South Loop Condo or loft, Loop condo or loft, Old Town condo or loft, Lincoln Park home or any surrounding area or type home.

Chicago South Loop Museum Park – Pepsi Tall Ships…oops! I forgot to post pictures :)

Chicago South Loop Museum Park area has so many things to do.  I walked over to the arrival of the Pepsi Tall Ships at Navy Pier and oh what a sight!  The crowds were less than the weekend and I felt like I was one of the few that even knew about the ships coming in and the festivities around it. The Tall Ships festival ran from July 27-31st.  There were ships from all over the world, the farthest I saw was from Spain.

I ran out of space on my phone or I would have captured more.   I also posted only half of the pictures I took.

Everyday is  a new adventure in the Chicago South Loop / Chicago Loop / Chicago Lake Front!  If you are thinking of moving to or from Chicago contact me and I would be happy to help you.

A short walk to the Chicago Cultural Center from my condo in Museum Park

A beautiful sunny day in the South Loop enticed me to take a walk along Michigan Avenue to the Chicago Cultural Center.   The beauty of the Chicago Cultural Center is just breathtaking.  I never get tired of the architecture, the stained glass and the interesting exhibits and events.  I have attended many concerts, dance and art events there.  Luckily it is only a short walk (a mile or so) from my condo in Museum Park.

A friend of mine recommended I visit Theo Jansen’s Strandbeest exhibit, he thought I would enjoy it.  It was interesting and thought provoking having these giant beests walk around in the Cultural Center.  Check out his website for more information and some really cool video’s.

Contact me to talk about buying or selling a property in the South Loop area.
